OSHA 510

The OSHA 510 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry course is the prerequisite to the OTI500 course and covers OSHA policies, procedures and standards for the construction industry as well as safety and health principles.  When you successfully complete the course, you will receive a Construction Safety 30-hour course completion card. OSHA 511

The OSHA 511 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry is the prerequisite to the OTI 501 trainer course and is now offered online.  This course introduces you to OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as general industry safety and health principles.  When you successfully complete the course, you will receive your 30-hour OSHA General Industry course completion card. An essential course for key employees in offices, manufacturing and construction work environments.   This ASHI certification course will give enrollees up-to-date medically accurate information with instruction on the proper sequence of reaction in various first aid emergencies.   Each participant will receive an American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) First Aid.

OSHA 502 Update for Construction Outreach Training
July 7-9, 2009        (3-Day Course)

To maintain your status as an authorized trainer for the 10- and 30-hour construction safety classes, you must take this update course every four years.  In this class you will review effective training techniques and most frequently cited standards.  In addition, the following topics will be covered: scaffolds, fall protection, steel erection, cadmium, silica, and lead exposure, safety and health programs, powered industrial trucks, respiratory protection, excavation and trenching.

Prerequisites: Course OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 within last four years.  Valid trainer's card is required.  Bring a current copy of OSHA construction regulations 29 CFR 1926 to the class.


Forklift Operator Classroom Safety Training

This comprehensive classroom training is designed for forklift operators and addresses pre-start safety inspection, lift truck design considerations and safety procedures for picking up, moving with, and setting down a load.  Students will learn practical techniques to help prevent costly and tragic lift truck collisions.  OSHA requires that forklift operators regularly receive safety training.  Students receive a Certificate of Completion and wallet card. Creating Your Safety Toolbox

Administration of Respirator Training and Fit Testing

This course provides the training necessary to adequately protect employees against hazardous airborne substances.  It covers information and training on recognizing respiratory hazards, use and care of appropriate respiratory protection equipment, as well as the need to comply with state and federal regulations.  It includes respirator fit-testing on negative pressure cartridge type respirators.   Contents: Requirements and overview of OSHA 1910.134 - Respiratory Protection, The need for a respirator, Respiratory hazards (dust, fumes, mists, gases, vapors, oxygen deficiency), Respiratory Protection Factors, Types of respirators and respirator limitations, Qualitative fit test (negative and positive pressure), and Proper care and maintenance of respirators.  Safety Council Certificate of Completion will be awarded to each student.

Fall Protection for the Competent Person

Forklift Safety Instructor Development Course
