The Delaware Safety Council offers the official DNREC approved Boating Safety Course. This 8-hour classroom course complies with Delaware State law, which now requires any person born after January 1, 1978 to complete a boating safety course before operating a motor boat on Delaware waters. The fee for this course is $30 per person and includes all instructional materials and a DNREC certificate of completion.
